The unique feature we can see in Cleveland Golf shafts is the RTG+ finish which provides an initial rust-like look without the need to wait for the rusting that will take place eventually.  This new finish is inspired by tour players who like clubs with a softer feel and reduced glare at address.
The RTG+ finish will fade after 3 to 5 rounds of games at the sole and face of club.  The time the finish takes to rust depends on the weather conditions that the club is exposed to.
Eventually, the RTG+ finish will totally rust over.  Every time the club is put in play, the rust will fade again at positions of impact; typically the sole and face of the club.
